i'm in desperate need of new music. what new music are you excited about?

Devotchka (Russian folk-punk)
Cold War Kids (modern "alternative")
Eminem-I know he isn't new and he is a mysoginistic, homophobic, juvenile prick, but when you are feeling angry and juvenile there is nothing better.
Little Big Town (country)
Deb Talan (introspective, depressing folk)-but I already gave you that.

Metric- Old World Underground, Where Are You Now? and Live it Out (Emily Haines, lead vocalist, writes the best lyrics of any songwriter I currently listen to)

The Organ- Grab That Gun (They broke up a few months ago. This is the only full-length album they released. This is what 80's new wave would sound like with cool dykes playing the instruments, writing the lyrics, and singing the words)

Sleater-Kinney- The Woods (their best album)

Girl in a Coma- Both Before I'm Gone (New band from San Antonio, TX. I've been listening to it obessively)

Anything by Tegan and Sara (The new album, The Con, will be officially released on July 24th)
